On April 20, participants in the campaign of "Planting Trees for Carbon Neutrality" launched by CNPC reached over one million person/times, and the amount of funds raised for the campaign exceeded RMB 30 million, highlighting the continuous enthusiasm of the public.

Jointly initiated by CNPC and China Green Foundation (CGF), "Planting Trees for Carbon Neutrality" is an "Internet+" voluntary tree planting campaign launched in March 2022. Since the launch of the project, the oilmen's concept of tree planting has changed. Available both offline and online, the campaign is more conveniently and extensively participated, and has become more popular. Making full use of the land owned by its subordinate enterprises, CNPC carries out afforestation, or nurtures over-mature forests and low-efficiency forests, and builds carbon sinks and carbon-neutral forests on a large scale. With the support of the first batch of funds, forest land construction has started in Daqing Oilfield, Changqing Oilfield, Xinjiang Oilfield and Yumen Oilfield, with a total afforestation area of more than 3,500 mu.
